The Düsseldorf-based vinyl toy specialists at Toykio are setting up their tents in the well-reputed NRW Forum for a few months. The first TOYKIO x NRW Forum pop-up store will be home to a fine selection of vinyl toys, amongst them the DIY series from Munnyworld as well as art, with an emphasis on photography and street art. The store opening will be celebrated tonight with a live-customising session with some of the DIY toys.

Almost concurrently with the new J'N'C, the fourth issue of our secret favourite magazine 'The Weekender - Magazin für Einblicke und Ausflüge' drops through the letterbox.

More boutiques, new locations: from last year, the French jeans label Marithé + Francois Girbaud is also available in Biarritz, Toulouse and in the department store BHV in Beirut. In December 2011 the denim classic also opened a 200 m2 shop in Stuttgart. But that's not all: in addition, this February 2012, they are adding projects in Amiens, Grenoble and two stores in China together with new business partners.

The long wistful wait is over for Berlin's fashion people: Urban Outfitters are finally opening their doors today at 1pm on Weinmeister Straße 10 in Mitte in Berlin!

Art installation? Fashion happening? Theatre? We were waiting with bated breath to see what Annelie Augustin and Odely Teboul had come up with this time for the presentation of their A/W collection 2012/13. You could be pretty sure it wasn't going to be a run-of-the-mill catwalk show.

It stands to reason that labels will always try to present their new collections as spectacularly as possible during Fashion Week. The same goes for the skate label Vans, who really went all out with a big party for their own Fashion Week.

Marcel Ostertag started off the last day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2012 in Berlin on Saturday with the presentation of his shining, vibrant designs. The “Golden Muse” theme of his 2012/13 autumn/winter collection was very much evident on the catwalk: loosely draping blouses and slim-fit dresses and skirts in muted colours like blue and green underlined shimmering highlights and different patterns.

The five friends from A Kind of Guise have teamed up with Munich menswear store Harvest to bring out a smart laptop sleeve. Tsu - na - lu - gi (Cherokee for smoke signal) is the name of the sought-after item made from cognac-coloured perforated leather.
