Amongst underground enthusiasts in the know, São Paulo has long been known as South America's Mecca for art and music off the beaten mainstream track – and that’s by no means all the city has to offer.

J’N‘C, das Fashionmagazin für den Durchblick im internationalen Modedschungel aus dem Hause der Düsseldorfer B+B Media Company GmbH setzt den Blinker und wechselt auf die Überholspur. Mit  Pierre D’Aveta (37), konnte ein ausgewiesener Branchenkenner mit ins Boot geholt werden. Er ist ab sofort als Anzeigenleiter für alle Publikationen der J’N’C-Familie sowie zusätzlich auch der von B+B herausgegebenen Trend-Forecast-Reihe Molecule verantwortlich.

Almost concurrently with the new J'N'C, the fourth issue of our secret favourite magazine 'The Weekender - Magazin für Einblicke und Ausflüge' drops through the letterbox.

It is certainly tempting but really somewhat simplistic to call Montreal the Paris of North America. Despite the fact that the residents of the capital city of Quebec have just as much savoir-vivre as their former compatriots on the Seine, they really do dance to a different beat despite their common language. Why the good old 'Bohème pas de problème' still works perfectly? J’N’C editor-in-chief and photographer Andy Rumball explored the streets, cafés, bars and shops of the city and had quite an eye-opener.

The J'N'C network is expanding: from now on our former office trainee Tana-Maria Schächtele will be reporting from fashion capital number one, "Fashion is treated as cultural heritage in France", the 25-year-old tells us.

Drugs, weapons and nutcases as far as the eye can see? If you believe current reports in the media, then Mexico is a lot more brutal than director Robert Rodriguez could ever have dreamed of when filming his bullet-riddled cult flick 'El Mariachi'. But the fact that the Central American country does indeed have a lot more to offer than sombreros, pistoleros and brass bands is proven by this issue's 'Mexico City' feature by our writer Johannes Thumfart. We are delighted to announce that Kerstin Geffert will be supplying us with the latest news from the German capital. Our Berlin correspondent worked for many years as a copy-writer/concept developer in marketing; from 1995 to 2005 she ran the agency "Artgenossen Communications".
