Yesterday afternoon the Premium Young Designer's Award was presented in the new F95 Store on the grounds of the Premium Exhibition.

Just a few more sleeps, and then it’s time: Fashion Week will once again be turning the German capital on its head for a whole seven days and bringing countless events with it – like the Bright Tradeshow for example. As always, the streetwear and boardsport trade fair will not only have plenty of clothing, sneakers and boards to showcase, but is also dedicating space to the exhibition of urban art.

Berlin's progressive fashion tradeshow is moving to the Kühlhaus venue in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Twice a year during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin the Seek Contemporary Fashion Tradeshow presents around 60 young brands. This time the list includes Fred Perry Laurel Wreath, Patrick Mohr, Surface To Air, Pop CPH, Airbags Craftworks A2, Ambivalent and Sixpack France on two floors over a total area of 1000 square metres. The Kühlhaus was built in 1900 and has been used as an international art and communication venue since last year.

Groundwater contamination and inhumane working conditions on plantations. Those are only a few of the textile industry's negative attributes. And: they are increasingly becoming fervently discussed topics of conversation. So it seems only logical that Berlin, Germany's fashion-capital, steps up to the challenge to introduce a contemporary platform for the topic: the Ethical Fashion Show.

It's only another 8 days, 11 hours and 29 minutes until Christmas. If you're still looking for unique and kitsch-free gifts for family and friends then we recommend you drop by the 'Textiles Geflüster' design market tomorrow at the Kulturkirche church in Hamburg-Altona, where between 1 and 8pm you will be able to shop fashion, jewellery and accessories by local designers.

'Love your way' is the motto of 'The Brandery Winter 2012' trade fair, taking place from 27. until 29. January next year, on the grounds of the Fira de Barcelona. Just as with the last event in July, the trade fair is divided into two sections: the 'Trade Show' only for professional visitors and 'Brandtown' for fashion, music and art interested customers.

Last Thursday and Friday the GERMANPRESSDAYS for the spring/summer 2012 season, took place, as reported by us. The event is a logical development from the previous BerlinPressDays which was founded in 2008 in order to present the latest fashion and accessory collections to fashion-orientated journalists, stylists and bloggers, as well as ordering products, refreshing and making new contacts.
